St. PJ's is licensed by the State of Texas as a long-term basic care facility able to accept placement of up to 79 children, as a short-term emergency shelter for 59 children and as a child placing agency offering adoption to children between ages infant-17. One of the things that makes St. PJ's unique is the large number of sibling groups that call St. PJ's home, due mainly to the broad age group. Each year more than 300 children come through the home.

St. PJ's campus is also home to our Counseling Center which serves our children as well as the community, and Project Ayuda, a program which assists low-income families in crises and youth who are aging out of DFPS care and need assistance transitioning to independence.

St. PJ's is located on Mission Road, directly across from the historic Mission Concepcion. The 18-acre, tree-lined campus provides a beautiful and calming environment for children who are hurting.
